Hailing from Brazil and with hairdressing in his blood, Decio has been drawn to styling since sweeping the floors in his parents’ hairdressing salon.
A cool cat with an artistic mind, he is inspired by the colourful culture of his home country Brazil to the street style of London, creating a cut that works with your natural hair and personal style. Since learning his skill as an honourary family apprentice, Decio has refined his craft in high-end salons from São Paulo to London, settling in Tauranga to craft hair that celebrates each client’s individuality.

Amy is in her third year of training and already making waves at Gato Loco with her love for bold, creative colour. Born and raised in Tauranga, she’s currently studying towards her Level 4 hairdressing qualification and is quickly becoming one to watch on the salon floor.
With a bright energy and genuine love for all things hair, Amy thrives on learning every aspect of the craft—from perfecting foils to experimenting with vibrant colour palettes. Her passion for styling is matched by her warm, people-first approach, making every appointment a fun and relaxed experience.
